LEXINGTON — Will Levis had wondered if maybe the Kentucky football team would need to bring its own energy Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats were hosting FCS program Youngstown State. The game was to kick off at noon.
Levis didn’t anticipate a full Kroger Field, nor a rowdy crowd.
“Sometimes in situations like that,” Levis said this week, “you got to rely on your own energy and your own juice.”
And sure enough, No. 9 Kentucky lacked both early in a 31-0 win against the Penguins.
Offensively, anyway.
The Wildcats (3-0) continued to struggle on the offensive front, allowing three first-half sacks.
