3-star lineman Deone Walker includes Kentucky in his top 5

One of the best players in all of Michigan is down to five schools and the Wildcats are in the mix.

On Wednesday afternoon, Deone Walker, a three-star lineman prospect from the class of 2022, announced on Twitter that he’s considering just five schools for his future college home: Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Arizona State, and Kentucky. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Walker plays his high school football up at Cass Technical in Detroit, Michigan, the same school that current Kentucky linebacker DeAndre Square attended.

Walker received an offer from Kentucky back in January.

Walker has been on the Kentucky coaching staff’s radar for some time now, but it’s hard to say that losing assistant coach Steve Clinkscale to Michigan hasn’t played a significant role in his recruitment.
