2020 five-star guard Jalen Green and Kentucky have decided to mutually part ways.
In a conversation with Green’s stepfather, Marcus Greene, on Monday morning, KSR has learned that the parties opted to move on from one another after a conversation on Sunday.
Green, the nation’s No. 3 prospect in the class of 2020, will no longer be taking his official visit originally scheduled for October 16-19.
Contact between both parties had been minimal, at best, since the start of the fall recruiting period on September 9. Despite visiting other top prospects on the West coast such as 2021 five-star point guard Devin Askew (Santa Ana, CA) and 2021 five-star forward Paolo Banchero (Seattle, WA), along with 2020 five-star guard and Kentucky commit BJ Boston (Chatsworth, CA), the UK coaching staff had not been out to see Green at his school or home.
