Former Kentucky coach Blanton Collier and offensive tackle Warren Bryant were inducted into the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame over the weekend.
Collier, who served as Kentucky’s coach from 1954-61, compiled a 41-36-3 career record, winning SEC Coach of the Year honors in 1954. He was fired after eight seasons, then went on to win the 1964 NFL Championship with the Cleveland Browns during his eight-year tenure there. He died in 1983 at the age of 76.
Bryant, who played four seasons with the Wildcats from 1973-76, helped guide Kentucky to one of the best seasons in program history in 1976, when it earned a share of the SEC title with Georgia.
