COLUMBUS – Veronika Kedronova fired a 2-under 70 in the first round to lead Kent State on the first day of the Therese Hession Buckeye Invite. The invitational is held on the Scarlet Course, a 6,319-yard par 72.
The Flashes currently sit third behind Ohio State and Michigan State after day one. KSU shot a seven-over 295 and is just four shots behind the Buckeyes and Spartans. Kedronova currently holds the medalist position just one shot ahead of Caley McGinty of OSU. Leon Tagaki is currently tied for 8th place with a one-over 73, Hester Sicking is tied for 13th with a 2-over 74 and Jennifer Gu is tied for 44th with a 6-over 78 to round out the foursome for the Golden Flashes.
