Women’s Basketball Dominates OT, Sweeps Rival Zips

AKRON, Ohio – Kent State scored the first 11 points during the overtime period and left James A. Rhodes Arena with a 65-55 victory on Wednesday night. The Golden Flashes have now swept the season series and earned a full point in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge standings twice under third-year head coach Todd Starkey.

Senior Merissa Barber-Smith had a monster night inside in her final rivalry contest. Barber-Smith had a career-high 18 rebounds to go with nine points on 4-for-5 shooting and three blocks in a career-high 33 minutes played.
