Women's Basketball Announces Assistant Coach Patrick Mashuda

Women's basketball Head Coach Todd Starkey has announced his first hire as Patrick Mashuda has been named an assistant coach for the Golden Flashes.

Mashuda joins Kent State after twelve seasons as the head coach at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where he also served as an associate athletic director. He led the team to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament, the first ever appearance in school history, and the program's first-ever 20-win season in 2015-16 as the Hawks finished 20-9.

"We are very fortunate to attract someone with Coach Mashuda's qualifications to join our staff at Kent State," said Starkey.
