KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Kent State's women's track and field program captured third-place at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships Saturday as they scored a total of 118.5 points. Danniel Thomas (discus) and the women's 4x400m relay team secured individual championships, bringing the Golden Flashes' weekend total to four.
Danniel Thomas earned her second championship of the weekend, taking the discus title with a meet record mark of 59.31m (194' 7"). With her two championships, Thomas was named the MAC's Most Outstanding Field Performer.
The women's 4x400m relay team comprised of Tyler Williams, Jorian Ordway, Lauren Burnett and Taylor Farquhar turned in a time of 3:41.
