FRESNO-Kent State dropped the finale of its non-conference slate, 53-10 to the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday night at Valley Children's Stadium.
Xavier Williams had a season high 55 yards rushing to lead the team. He got the Flashes on the board in the first half with a 18-yard scamper off a third-down draw. The touchdown run capped an eight-play drive highlighted by a 40-yard over-the-shoulder by Jameel Gardner on a third-and thirteen. Gardner had a pair of catches on the night for 49 yards, his second grab on the day led to a 45-yard Andrew Glass field goal in the second quarter.
