Wilfing Drives in Three Against Villanova on Sunday

concluded a stellar opening weekend at the plate with two hits and three RBIs as Kent State fell to Villanova, 13-5, in five innings in the final game at the Texas State Tournament.

The Golden Flashes (0-5) took an early lead, as Wilfing's single to left-center brought sophomore Delaney Robeson home from second base with two outs in the top of the first inning.

Villanova went ahead 3-1 on three triples and a walk in the bottom of the second. The Wildcats added one run in the third on a solo homer two more in the fourth to make it 6-1.
