TUCSON, Ariz. – Kent State (6-11) dropped its final game of its 11-day road trip to Drake (11-9) 8-0 at Hillenbrand Stadium on the University of Arizona's campus.
The Bulldogs, who are receiving votes in the USA Today / NFCA Coaches' Poll, rode the electric arm of Nicole Newman to victory as she only allowed one baserunner.
How it Happened
Drake scored runs in two innings and posted a six spot in the second. The Bulldogs were aided by two Golden Flashes errors, which proved to be a momentum shifter early that supplied energy to Drake.
