KENT, Ohio- The Kent State volleyball team took a break from the practice court on Monday and spent the morning volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity of Portage County.
Student-athletes and coaches assisted with a house that was recently taken over by Habitat for Humanity to update by painting the exterior foundation of the house, the front door, and also helping with various yard work tasks.
"It was good to volunteer and give back to the community especially someone that is so close to where we play," said sophomore Alex Haffner. "It was fun to work with my teammates and do something so impactful.
