RAVENNA, Ohio – The Kent State volleyball team took a break from the practice court on Wednesday and spent the morning volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity of Portage County warehouse.
Student-athletes and coaches assisted with framing out walls, doorways and wall headers for a four-bedroom house that is in the early stages of being built.
After completing work in the warehouse, the team visited the site where the new home is being built. The project is expected to be finished in 3-4 months, at which time the family will be able to move into its new home.
