KENT, Ohio — The Kent State volleyball team enters the final weekend of the regular season with hopes of securing a bye to the quarterfinals in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Volleyball Championship. The Golden Flashes clinched a spot in the eight-team field by defeating Miami, 3-2, on Saturday and can be seeded anywhere from fourth to seventh in the tournament.
Kent State will play its final home match of the year at the M.A.C. Center on Thursday against East Division rival Ohio. The Flashes seek to avenge a 3-1 loss to the Bobcats in Athens on October 6 that capped a season-worst three-match losing streak.
