Kent State's track and field programs will close-out the regular season this weekend as they head to rival Akron for the second time to compete in the Campbell-Wright Open, May 6-7.
The competition from the Lee R. Jackson Track Complex gets underway Friday at 3:30 p.m. with the women's and men's hammer throws. Saturday's action begins at 11 a.m. with the women's javelin. There will be a few new but familiar faces in the field for the Golden Flashes this weekend softball's Vanessa Vodan will compete in the women's javelin, while football's Derek Adams and Kavious Price will be competing in the men's javelin and 4x100m relay, respectively.
