INDIANAPOLIS — Kent State women's track and field student-athlete Tianna McCormick recently represented the Mid-American Conference at the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) fall meetings, which were conducted at the NCAA headquarters on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
McCormick provided the conferences with a voice in conversations about current NCAA topics, including name, image and likeness (NIL), undergraduate transfer policies and mental health education, over the two days.
"We had a lot of good discussion on several topics," McCormick said. "There are a lot of big issues that may seem so easily fixable that truly are not.
