ATHENS, Ohio – Kent State's throwers and distance runners had an impressive showing at the Ohio Cherry Blossom on Saturday, April 2nd in Athens, Ohio.
Four Golden Flashes came away from the Cherry Blossom Invitational with victories. In her first competition this season, senior Jackie Leppelmeier captured the hammer throw title with a mark of 58.54m (192' 0").
Reggie Jagers finished with victories in the hammer and discus throws, posting marks of 60.35m (198' 0") and 54.04m (177' 3"), respectively. Micheal King captured the men's shot put title with a throw of 17.
