OXFORD, Ohio – Friday's game against Mid-American Conference juggernauts Kent State and Miami was all it was billed up to be, as the Flashes prevailed 2-1 in overtime to improve to 9-5 overall and 5-0 in conference play. Miami now sits at 8-6 and 4-0.
The scoring started as the RedHawks landed a straight shot on a penalty corner at 16:18. However, the Flashes did not quit. Alison Harmatz tied things less than ten minutes later off a pass from Jessica Nesbitt.
The next 35 minutes period remained scoreless despite eight corner opportunities for Miami.
