KENT, Ohio – For the second year in a row, Kent State senior Rachel Stypinski received regular season All-America honors from the National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches for Women (NACGC/W). Stypinski has been named a second team regular season All-American on both balance beam and uneven bars.
Regular season All-American honors are determined by a gymnast's Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) ranking entering NCAA Regional competition. The top eight gymnasts (including ties) on each event and in the all-around earn first team honors, while the next eight are named to the second team.
Stypinski is one of two Golden Flashes to garner regular season All-America honors since the NACGC/W began awarding them in 2013, and is now a four-time All-American with second team honors for balance beam and floor exercise in 2017.
