AKRON, Ohio- Kent State enjoyed strong performances from their throwers and sprinters as they competed Friday at the Akron Tri-Meet.
The throws were strong for the Golden Flashes as they won three of the four throwing events. Headlining this effort was Jake Wickey, who's 72'-11" throw to win the men's weight throw was a personal best by over three feet and moved him to second all-time in Kent State's history.
On the women's side, Grace Luther led a Kent State sweep of the top three spots in the women's weight throw.
