set the Kent State track and field record in the men's 5,000-meter run to lead the way as four Golden Flashes posted times in mid-distance and distance races that rank in the top-10 in school history at the Indiana Invitational on Friday.
In just his second race as a Kent State student-athlete and his first outdoor 5K as collegian, Stricklen etched his name in program history with a record time of 14:06.57 to finish sixth overall. Fellow graduate student Stephanie Ward recorded the fifth-fastest women's 5K time in Flashes history, finishing in 17:11.75 to place 22nd.
