KENT, Ohio – Khaliq Spicer dominated both ends of the floor and Kent State's offense found its stride against Eastern Michigan's daunting 2-3 zone while pulling away to a 73-58 victory on Tuesday night at the M.A.C. Center.
Win No. 5 in a row for KSU combined with a Northern Illinois loss on Tuesday gave the Golden Flashes (15-5, 6-1) the best overall record in the Mid-American Conference.
"Khaliq Spicer was great tonight," said Kent State head coach Rob Senderoff. "Two games ago he blocked a school-record seven shots.
