CLEVELAND — Redshirt senior Katie Shumate was named to an All-MAC Team for a Kent State record fourth time to headline the team's honorees, as the Mid-American Conference announced the All-MAC Teams and specialty award selections for the 2023-24 women's basketball season on Tuesday. In addition to a first team selection, Shumate was voted to the All-Defensive Team. Junior Jenna Batsch earned a spot on third team and Janae Tyler was named to the All-Freshman Team.
One of the best to ever wear a Golden Flashes uniform, Shumate is one of only two players who rank in the top-10 in the MAC in both scoring and rebounding with averages of 15.
