KENT, Ohio –The Golden Flashes baseball team (25-20, 12-7 MAC) celebrated Senior Day their first sweep of the season, defeating Toledo (15-30, 3-16 MAC) 5-2 Sunday afternoon at Schoonover Stadium. Junior Zach Schultz spun a gem in his second-straight Sunday start, collecting a career-high nine strikeouts to earn the win.
"It's a good time to get the first sweep of the season," Head Coach Jeff Duncan explained. "We had the opportunity last weekend, but came up just a little short. We are playing good baseball right now and we got a really good performance out of Zach Schultz and Luke Albright today.
