OXFORD, Ohio – With its rivalry game quickly approaching, Kent State will have reason to put Saturday's loss at Miami in the past. The RedHawks took advantage of a 21-point second quarter in a 31-6 victory at Yager Stadium.

Sophomore Woody Barrett's seven-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter was the Golden Flashes' lone score of the game.

"I am obviously disappointed in the effort. It starts with me first and foremost," Head Coach Sean Lewis said. "I failed the kids somewhere along the week. I have to go back and reassess how we approached last week.
