KENT, Ohio- Senior Danny Pippen reached 1,000 career points and led all scorers with 34 points to lead the Kent State men's basketball team (8-4, 5-3 MAC) to a 96-91 victory over Bowling Green on Wednesday night at the M.A.C. Center.
Pippen tied his career-high with 34 points on shooting 11-of-15 from the floor and knocking down 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Pippen also notched his fourth double-double on the season with 11 rebounds.
Senior Michael Nuga had 16 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. Sophomore Giovanni Santiago and senior Tervell Beck rounded out the double-figure scoring with 14 and 11 points.
