CLEVELAND, Ohio- Junior forward Danny Pippen was named Co-East Division Mid-American Player of the Week after leading Kent State men's basketball team with two great performances last week, the league announced Monday.
Pippen's performance helped Kent State reach a three-game win streak and improve to 16-6 overall and 6-3 in league play. In the win at Toledo, Pippen helped the Flashes in their 21-point comeback with his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. In the rivalry game against Akron, Pippen dominated the floor on both sides with a monster 20 point, 12 rebound performance, recording his fifth double-double of the season.
