University of Akron senior Anita Brown has been selected by College SportsMadness to the all-high major women’s basketball team.
Brown was also selected to the first team of the All-Mid-American Conference.
Brown averaged a team-high and MAC-best 21.9 points per game while also grabbing a team-high 7.4 rebounds.
UA men’s soccer
Former University of Akron stars Darlington Nagbe and DeAndre Yedlin were among 26 players chosen to train with the United States men’s national team.
Nagbe played for the Zips from 2007-10 and Yedlin from 2011-12.
The U.S. will play in Guatemala on Friday and again on March 29 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus
In addition, former UA standouts Dillon Serba and Wil Trapp were among 23 players invited to the United States under-23 men’s national team training camp.
