The University of Akron swimming and diving team defeated host Miami 176.5-123.5 on Friday for its second consecutive Mid-American Conference win.
The Zips had 11 first-place finishes and swept the top two spots in five events.
Sadie Fazekas, the current MAC swimmer of the week, finished first in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and in the 100 butterfly, and also was a member of the first-place 200 medley.
Marrero Munoz won the 100 breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke, Jessica Bonezzi finished first in the 200 butterfly, Madison Myers won the 100 backstroke, Jackie Pash won both the 1,000 freestyle and the 400 IM and Luka Syznal won the 200 backstroke to lead the Zips swimmers.
