The University of Akron swimming and diving team broke a pair of Mid-American Conference records on Friday on the first day of a double-dual meet against Bowling Green and Youngstown State in Akron.
Madison Myers (Copley), Paloma Marrero Munoz, Sadie Fazekas and Ragen Engel broke the school, pool and MAC records with a time of 3:35.65 in the 400 relay.
Fazekas wasn’t done, as she later broke the school record with a 22.54 in the 50 freestyle.
Myers also won the 200 IM, Kara Kaulius won the 500 freestyle and the Zips won the 800 relay.
