Miami University snapped Kent State’s seven-game winning streak Sunday, beating the host Golden Flashes 2-1 in Mid-American Conference baseball action.
Joey Murray struck out two batters an inning for a new career high with 12. After six innings he had allowed just two hits, one run and two walks before turning the game over to Kent State’s (33-14, 17-4) bullpen.
The Flashes took a lead in the third when Luke Burch singled up the middle, stole second and scored on a Dylan Rosa double off the wall in center field.
The RedHawks (21-33, 7-14) tied the game in the sixth on a solo home run before scoring the go-ahead run in the eighth on a single, double and another base hit.
