In Kalamazoo, Mich., in Kent State’s women’s gymnastics team won its first Mid-American Conference match, edging host Western Michigan 193.725 to 193.575.
The Golden Flashes improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the MAC. Kent State is now 55-20 all-time against the Broncos (3-1 2-1).
On beam, Kent took the top three spots. Rachel Stypinski won with a 9.825. Kennedy Plude and Ali Marrero tied for second with a score of 9.725.
