On the record: Kent State women second at Jim West Challenge

No. 15 Kent State finished in second place at the Jim West Challenge, at the par-72 Fazio Course at Carlton Woods in Boerne, Texas. The KeSU women had a 3-round score of 17-under-par 847.

The Golden Flashes shot 10 under par Monday. That tied the program record for a 54-hole tournament. Kent State shot under 850 as a team for the first time since April 2006.

Kent State finished 7 strokes behind No. 4 Florida State, but defeated the rest of the field by at least 6 strokes.
