Third-year coach Jeff Duncan earned his 100th career win as Kent State beat visiting Miami 4-3 Sunday to take the series and remain in first place in the Mid-American Conference baseball standings.
The Golden Flashes (33-11, 14-4) are two games ahead of Ball State in the overall standings and lead Miami (21-22, 10-5) by 2½ games in the East Division.
Dylan Rosa’s first home run of the season was the difference. The sophomore third baseman hit a 2-run shot to left field in the bottom of the sixth with Zarley Zalewski on base. Zalewski had two singles and Luke Burch went 3-for-4 with a triple for the Flashes.
