On the record: Kent State football team to play two nationally televised games in 2016

The Kent State University football team is slated for two nationally televised games in 2016.

The Mid-American Conference announced the 2016 schedule on Monday.

On Nov. 8, the Golden Flashes will face Western Michigan on ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network. On Nov. 15, Kent State will travel to Bowling Green to take on the Falcons on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

The Flashes will host rival Akron on Oct. 1.

Babby recognized

Rubberducks owner Ken Babby has been named to the Sports Business Journal’s 2016 “40 under 40” class.

Babby will be honored in mid-April at a gala dinner in Los Angeles.
