Kent State’s field hockey team closed out its regular season Sunday with a 3-0 win over visiting Saint Francis (Pa.). The Golden Flashes (12-6) will enter the Mid-American Conference Tournament that begins Friday as the No. 1 seed.
Kyrsti Lober scored KSU’s first goal off a deflection. She closed out the Golden Flashes’ scoring with an unassisted goal in late in the second half, dribbling in from the left side and getting the ball past the Red Flash (11-8) keeper. Lober now has five goals this season.
KSU’s other score came on a feed from Alexis Madeira to Shannong Talbot that made the score 2-0.
