Kent State women’s basketball team lost on the road Monday, dropping a 73-52 nonleague game at Detroit Mercy.
Chelsi Watson scored 12 points to lead the Golden Flashes (2-2). She also had a game-high 11 rebounds and four steals.
The Titans (2-2) never trailed in their home opener and led by as much as 25 points in the second half.
Rosanna Reynolds scored 17 points to lead Mercy, which shot 42 percent from the field (to Kent’s 26 percent) and were 19-for-24 from the foul line. Kent made just over half of their 27 free throws.
