KENT, Ohio – The No. 9 Kent State men's golf team wrapped up the first round of the Bank of Tennessee Invitational at the par-72 Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in ninth place at one-under par 287.
Kent State had a productive first round and are within range of the lead with 36 holes remaining. The Golden Flashes were one of 9 teams that finished under par, all within 10 strokes of each other. Missouri currently leads the tournament at 10-under par.
All five golfers in the lineup finished within four strokes of each other, giving the Flashes an opportunity to make a run as a unit over the weekend.
