CAREFREE, Ariz. – The No. 20 Kent State University men's golf team finished third overall at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate after a close battle in the third and final round Sunday.
The Flashes finished the tournament at 5-under par 859, three strokes behind the champions Arizona State and a stroke behind No. 9 Georgia Tech. After rounds of 281 and 296, Kent State finished strong with a third round score of 6-under par 282.
"There were a lot of good things we did this weekend, but we need to learn how to finish tournaments," said head coach Herb Page.
