STILLWATER, Okla.- Stroke play came to a nail-biting ending for the No. 16 Kent State women's golf team, but the Flashes secured the seventh seed in match play and will take on No. 1 Alabama in the quarterfinals Tuesday.
The Golden Flashes finishes 72 holes of stroke play at 32-over par 1184, with their best round of golf today at 5-over par 293. The Flashes avoided dropping into a three-way tie for eighth between Arizona and Baylor by the counting scores parring their final hole. Arizona advanced after a two hole team playoff.
