AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 13 Kent State women's golf team took its second straight title at the University of Texas Golf Club, winning the 2016 Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at two-under par 862 (282-296-284).
The Golden Flashes were four-under par Tuesday, surpassing No. 12 Miami by one stroke and fending off the hosts, No. 20 Texas, by four strokes. The rest of the field finished the tournament at 13-over par or higher.
Kent State picked up the tournament title with two top-five finishes and all four scoring golfers in the top 25.
