ALBUQUERQUE, NM- The No. 13 Kent State University women's golf team wrapped up a dominant performance that the Branch Law Firm Dick McGuire Invitational earning its first tournament win of the season on Tuesday at the New Mexico Championship Golf Course.
At the par 72 Championship course, Kent State won the tournament with a 6-under par 858 (289-280-289), defeating the second-place Pepperdine by five strokes. Third place San Diego State finished at 2-over, followed by Northwestern (+3) and tournament host New Mexico (+4) rounding out the top-5 standings.
Highlighting the performance was Marissa Kirkwood who led the Flashes' lineup finishing tied for sixth with a 2-under par 214 score over the two days.
