Murray Named National Semi-finalist
KSU pitcher one of 25 semi-finalists for Golden Spikes Award
KENT, OHIO – Following a tremendous regular season, Kent State pitcher Joey Murray has been named a finalist for USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award.
Presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation, the 41st annual award will be presented in late June in Los Angeles. It honors a collegiate or amateur baseball player who exemplifies outstanding ability, sportsmanship, character and overall contribution to the sport. Past winners have included Bryce Harper, Kris Bryant, Trevor Bauer and Buster Posey.
