CLEVELAND – The Kent State lacrosse team was represented as the Mid-American Conference announced the season's first Player of the Week awards on Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Taylor Monturo was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career after her performance in the season opener against Ohio State. Monturo entered the game in the second quarter for the Golden Flashes. She recorded a .500 save percentage with 10 saves and facing 25 shots.
The Flashes will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 17, for the home opener at Dix Stadium.
