MUNCIE, Ind. – The Kent State men's track and field team posted eight or more points in all five events finals on Friday to take the lead at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The Golden Flashes' 61 points are five more than any other team heading into the final day of competition on Saturday.
All-American TJ Lawson completed his third consecutive decathlon title in dominant fashion, totaling 7,738 points during the two-day event. Lawson set an outdoor personal-best by clearing 15'-5" to win the pole vault and also won the discus with a throw of 146'-8".
