Annapolis, MD.– Billy Meiszner led the Golden Flashes with a first-place finish at the 2024 Navy Classic.
The Orland Park, Illinois Native went 4-0 on Saturday, claiming the first championship of his collegiate career. He opened the tournament with a pin in 3:41 over Bucknell's Kaden Schaefer. Next, Meiszner defeated Kaemin Smith of Navy 11-4 to advance to the semi-finals, where he met Ayden Garver of Oregon State. Meiszner won 8-3 to make his way into the championship finals. In the first-place bout, he wrestled Carson DesRoiser of the Citadel. Meiszner broke a 1-1 tie late in the third period with a 3-point takedown to win 4-1.
