KENT, Ohio – Sophomore Mackenzie McGuire recorded her 500th kill in a Kent State uniform Thursday evening at the M.A.C. Center during the second set of a 3-0 (24-26, 21-25, 9-25) setback to Western Michigan.
McGuire, who entered the contest with 491 kills, finished with a match-high 15 kills. Freshman Lily King totaled a career-high 32 assists and tallied nine digs in her first start at the setter position.
The Golden Flashes (4-13, 0-6 MAC) were led defensively by senior Bryn Roberts, who recorded 16 digs.
