CLEVELAND, Ohio - Redshirt Senior Malique Jacobs was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week after leading the Kent State men's basketball team with three great performances last week, the league announced earlier today.
Jacobs recorded a single-game steal recortd for Kent State with 10 on Nov. 19 against Chicago State. Jacobs' 10 steals surpassed Chris Singletary who recorded eight steals in 2008. Jacobs now leads all players in the NCAA.
This is no surprise for Jacobs, as he returns to the 2022-23 season after being nominated as ALL-MAC Defensive player. The Flashes swept their three-game home stand this week where Jacobs contributed on both dense and offense.
