RALEIGH, N.C. – Alexandre Malanda won the men's triple jump on Saturday as Kent State posted 12 top-20 performances on the second day of competition at the Raleigh Relays.
Malanda's winning jump of 51'-5.50" puts him at fifth on the Golden Flashes' all-time outdoor triple jump performance list. Anthony Milliner placed 14th with a mark of 46'-7.25".
Grace Tennant and Aliesha Shaw started the day strong in the women's discus throw. Tennant had a best throw of 167'-3" to finish fifth and Shaw placed 10th in her first collegiate outdoor competition with a mark of 153'-6".
