CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State redshirt senior TJ Lawson has been named Most Outstanding Field Performer, as the Mid-American Conference announced its 2020 men's indoor track and field postseason awards Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to owning the fourth-highest heptathlon score (5,885) in the NCAA, Lawson scored a MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships record 5,723 points over the weekend. His personal-best long jump of 24'-11" ranks 31st nationally and is the best by a MAC competitor. He ranks fifth in the conference with a top high jump clearance of 6'-7.5".
